How does it work?
We bring the bar and experienced bartenders to you. We provide the ice, garnishes, bar tools and water station (we do have limited glassware for an additional fee or you can rent glassware). You provide the alcohol and a day banquet license which can be found on the Washington state liquor board website for $10. You will have a consultation with Brad to go over the bar menu and he can help you figure out how much alcohol you will need based on how many guests you expect, length of reception/party, etc. We recommend one or two signature drinks for your event in addition to beer and wine. This keeps the service streamlined and makes for an elegant affair.
How much do you charge?
2016 pricing for weddings/private parties: We charge for the "rental" of the venue and bartending service. This is dependent on how many guests you will have and the length of the reception/party. Our price includes travel within 25 miles of Seattle, set up/break down and gratuity along with the bar venue and bartending service. We will travel outside of 25 miles*, but will charge an additional fee for that of $1/mile.
Rental of The Sidecar for the event- $500
Bartending service- $50/hr per bartender. The amount of bartenders needed depends on how many guests you have. For example, 2 bartenders can manage up to 120-130 guests. More guests= more bartenders. So, if you have a 5 hour reception/party for 100 people within 25 miles of Seattle, we would charge $1000.
Please contact us for pricing details as we can work with you on what you need for your specific event.
For corporate/promotional events: Contact us, let's talk about it!
* As much as we would love to, we cannot take The Sidecar over mountain passes (Sorry!). The San Juan islands are also off limits due to the precariousness of the ferry and we would have to spend the night. We can travel to Vashon, Bainbridge and Whidbey and would charge for the ferry cost. Lastly, the "travel outside of 25 miles of Seattle" is within reason, meaning within 60-90 minute drive of Seattle (The Sidecar is an antique and so we drive very carefully when hauling her :) ).
Can we have a cash bar?
State laws prevent us from selling alcohol. This is why we require you to provide the booze. We can do a cash bar for a non-profit fundraiser where the proceeds go directly to the non-profit.
What is your payment/cancellation policy?
We require a 30% deposit with your reservation which is fully refundable up to 3 months prior to the event, otherwise it is non-refundable. Payment in full is due by the day of the event.
We are licensed and insured. All bartenders carry a Class 12 license to serve legally in the state of Washington.
We only employ experienced bartenders and will not over-serve your guests. The Sidecar Mobile Bar is committed to providing excellent service along with our funky little bar. We strive to keep it classy.
We are geared toward outdoor spaces, but can fit the bar in many Seattle area indoor locations.
We can also provide bartending service sans The Sidecar (but why would you want to do that?).
